Hoopcity is the pinnacle of the Hooping community.
Since 2007, World Hoop Day has been dedicated to bringing toy and dance hoops to underprivileged children living in extreme poverty and underdeveloped neighborhoods of our world. World Hoop Day is a not for profit organization that uses a community-based approach to provide hoops as a simple and effective way to bring joy to an otherwise devastating situation. The simple hoop has positive physical and mental health benefits, stimulates imaginations and enables feelings of pure joy and bliss. World Hoop Day thrives through dedicated hoopers around the globe who use this day to promote healthy and active lifestyles to everyone in their communities. Hoopers who participate share in their common goal to help transform the world through the art of hooping! Last year's WHD was 8/08/08. This year’s WHD is 9/09/09.
HoopCamp returns again in September 2009 to the majestic redwoods by the sea for another action-packed weekend of hoop-inspired dance, learning, growth and community. Over the course of four days you will participate in a variety of hoop workshops led by pioneering performers, instructors and entrepreneurs in the hoop community.
